On June 17, the CSG Energy Development Research Institute and the Mekong Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Guangzhou, the capital city of South China's Guangdong province.
Both parties agreed to jointly advance the establishment of an energy and power think tank network in the Lancang-Mekong region. By pooling the expertise of various think tanks, they aim to contribute strategic insights and policy recommendations for the region's green development. They also emphasized the importance of successfully organizing the Lancang-Mekong Clean Energy Development Forum, positioning it as a key platform for sharing research findings and facilitating think tank collaboration.
In addition, the two sides will promote academic and institutional exchanges, talent development, and joint research between universities and think tanks in Mekong River Basin countries and the CSG Energy Development Research Institute.
